1.3.6_1.  Higher Education in the USA.

1) Study the vocabulary for the topic «Higher Education in the United States of America».

2) Read the text «Higher Education in the United States of America» and do FOCUS ON VOCABULARY and FOCUS ON READING.

3) FOCUS ON LISTENING: Listen about students’ living conditions in the dorms and do the exercises to practise and improve your listening skills.

4) Do FOCUS ON SPEAKING: Discuss the situations. A delegation of American students has come to your University. What would you tell them about the University and higher education in Belarus?

1.3.6_2.  Present Simple Past Simple of the Verb "to Be" and "to Have".

Do exercise 1-6 in writing.

1.3.6_3.  Phonetic Drill (Consonants: n, 1, с).

Study the reading rules of graphic equivalents of the [n], [m] phonemes and practise the reading of the words.
