Задание для студентов I курса физико-математического факультета по дисциплине «Иностранный язык (английский)».

1) Alfred Nobel and the Nobel Prizes.
- Do FOCUS ON VOCABULARY.
- Read the text «The Nobel Prize», about the Nobel Prize and say in what fields it is awarded. Do Focus on Reading (exercises II-V).
- Do the Task: Alfred Nobel Rests in Peace.
- Watch the videos «Alfred Nobel. Biography», «Alfred Nobel and the Nobel Prize», take notes on the key information and do the QUIZ: Albert Bernhard Nobel and the Nobel Prizes.
2) Phrasal Verbs.
Study the theoretical material on Phrasal Verbs: Grammar and Style and do exercises 1-5.
1) Albert Einstein. Theory of relativity.
- Do FOCUS ON VOCABULARY.
- Read the text «Albert Einstein. Theory of relativity» for precise information. Read and translate the text, paying attention to the most important terms. What do they denote? Do Focus on Reading (exercises II-VI).
- Do FOCUS ON WRITING: Read the famous quotes of Einstein, explain two of them with your own words (Use at least 60 words for each).
- Do FOCUS ON LISTENING. Do the QUIZ: Albert Einstein to check your understanding.
2) Sequence of Simple Tenses.
Study the following rules of Sequence of Tenses and do exercises 1-4.
